Working with metamorph created an incredible buzz in the office. There is now a hunger from everyone to develop and grow both themselves and the business, which has given me the headspace to take the business to the next level.

Oliver Bance

Oliver started his career as a TEFL Teacher in Antananarivo, Madagascar and went onto join Coffee International, a UK based international development organisation.

At Coffee International Oliver established and grew their Iraq practice. As part of this he developed a post conflict education and training programme that brought the private sector into partnership with the State system.  This was recognised as one of DFID’s more successful programmes in Southern Iraq.

Oliver left Coffee International to become an independent consultant in 2011. Since then he has led projects and programmes in Afghanistan, Kenya, Somalia and Nigeria, where he extensive experience working on infrastructure programming with a range of federal, state and local level government agencies; including direct experience working with teams on the ground delivering local infrastructure projects for roads and power.

Oliver has an in-depth understanding of DFID processes and policy agendas, including how ‘leave no one behind’, gender and disability inclusion, and the revised supplier code of conduct and safeguarding policies operate within the DFID infrastructure programming space. He has previously worked directly with the DFID Infrastructure Cadre and Head of Profession, contributing to revised guidance around FCAS and VFM.

Oliver founded Metamorph alongside Alistair and became an accredited Agile coach in 2019. He is now bringing this into the International Development sector.

Sebastian Bance

Sebastian began his career with internships in EY’s corporate sustainability team and BBC’s comedy commissioning team before working at an independent television company for 5 years: managing teams, overseeing deliverables of sales to major international broadcasters and to other production companies, working with up and coming talent through to knights of the realm.

Subsequently Sebastian established his own live entertainment company and produced a critically acclaimed live show – Karaeoke Rumble.  The show is in the top 10 things to do in London in both TimeOut and DesignMyNight, and has been delivered in 4 different Countries, major UK and international festivals, and at corporate clients such as Lloyds, Unilever and King gaming. Karaoke Rumble has now been brought under the banner of a larger events management company, Unknown Agency, freeing up Sebastian to focus on Metamorph.

Alongside his work in entertainment Sebastian was a private tutor for children with special educational needs. He has applied agile techniques to deliver task-based lessons which have had impressive results, particularly when it comes to boosting student engagement and confidence. As a result Sebastian is spearheading Metamorph’s push to break into the education sector.
